Cattleya skinneri 'Dayana'
This is a semi-alba I like much. These flowers always seem crystalline, as if they had hundreds of small shining dots in them. It is not apparent, but the mid lobe of the lip has a very light pink tint that appears in some years and don't appear in some others.

Wow! Maurothat's an absolute beauty!
Do you think it may have anything to do with the climate differences there can be in different year? things like mor eor less sunlight etc? Thank you for posting, that's a very beautiful flower

It is a possility, Nenella, but in my opinion this has more to do with the medium pH affecting the pigments! It is known that many plants have their flower color governed by the pH in the soil, like Hydrangea macrophylla (mopheads in English, I think) for example.

Wonderful flower. I love it.
I've never heard Hydrangeas called mopheads, but I can see the reason for the name. My Mum always called them Hydrangeas, I never knew the species name. They are certainly a prime example of PH affecting colour.

This one is really nice! I love the white colored flower with the dark throat.

How Wonderful!
I can see the slight pink areas on the lip, almost looks like a fading blush...
