This is a beautiful variety. I believe the most famous clone of this yelow variation is 'Miami'. The third photo shows it side by side with the type of the species.

Wow, I love them both. Such vibrant colours.

On the yellow one the dark spots on the lip are more noticable, and at first glance I thouht it had long filaments with dark anther on the end and thought "Orchids don't usually have those!"

Then I realised they were spots, and I reckon the orchid could be trying to mimic a flower which has them. After reading that National Geographic article which someone posted a link to a few weeks back, it's really interesting to spot the 'trickery' used by orchids.
