This rupicolous Laelia is well-known and many times used as a parent for its striking orange, relatively large (2.8-3.0" across) flowers, which are born on the final third of the stem. The plant itself is variable in size. Some can easily reach one foot in height and 3 foot including the floral stem.
Unfortunately, the second photo is washed and does not reflect the real color, which is correctly depicted in the close up.
