How about a thread about growth cycles
what do you think?I myself would like more information more spcific to cultavars. For example
blc Goldenzell 'Lemon Chiffon'
new growth usually in what months?
Roots growing during growth of new pb or after it finishes?
rest period in which month or not at all really?
blooming times
if it blooms more than once a year....Is there a cycle of growing in between these two bloom periods every time
multiple leads as a rule or just a single lead normally
mature size of the plant....tall,short,or intermediate
It really would be helpfull fo me at this point but I also relise this would be a huge data base and server space would probably be a concern.
I am keeping a journal of what mine are doing and when just for this reason

I think this is a pretty good idea, as I had the same thoughts just the other day. There will be plenty of limitations though, as some of the above cycles would vary by location, lighting, fertilizer, watering schedule, and other conditions I'm sure. Maybe we can post something on alliances first, then delve into the more specific cultivars, and maybe some focus as well on different locations/lighting/etc. How does that sound?

sounds great. But if we went with alliances first maybe a small subcatagory within them for the ones that bloom more than once a year to give a better grasp of what they do in between blooming

Or maybe more general even like a subcatagory for the summer bloomers one for the fall bloomers ect. that are in the alliance.

John, I've reposted something like this in the Advanced forum, so hopefully we'll get some more traffic that way, especially for other alliances in my case, but you're sure to still get responses here on the Catts
