Default Cattleya amethystoglossa Linden & Rchb.f. ex R.Warner

This is flowering for the first time, a nice surprise the whitish background as well as the sepals tips with a purplish zone. At first I thought the purple tips could be due to flacid tissue, but a close examination showed that that was not the case. Anyway, let's see if the trait repeats in the next flowering seasons.

That is really nice! Hopefully those purple tips will stick around next year. I can't recall seeing other plants of this species with purple tips. Could this be a future show winner for you?
