Default Epidendrum pseudepidendrum and its hybrid Epi. Butterpatty

For its striking orange, waxy lip I am sure Epidendrum pseudepidendrum is a well-known orchid. I'm posting it side by side with Epi. Butterpatty, a primary hybrid with Epidendrum paniculatum. Butterpatty flowers are a little smaller than those of pseudepidendrum, but are as pretty as the latter.

I really like them both, but that little pink halo on Butterpatty is just too nice!

Both are wonderful. I like the larger lip of pseudepidendrum but the butter colour of Butterpatty is really nice.
