Default Cattleya Brazilian Jewel

This is a primary hybrid between Cattleya nobilior and Cattleya walkeriana. Despite I was assured it was Cattleya mesquitae, the natural occurring hybrid between those two Cattleyas when I acquired it, I am now convinced that this is not natural, it is a man made hybrid which correct name then is Cattleya Brazilian Jewel, not mesquitae.

Why do you think this one is an artificial hybrid? Just curious!

Steve, natural mesquitaes have different lips compared to this and also the general aspect of a C. nobilior, to the point many orchidists think mesquitae should actually be reclassified to a subspecies of nobilior.
