Beautiful Mauro! Congrats! Do you have a new camera? Your pics are even better than normal. Very clear picture.

Beautiful as always, Mauro. I, too, love this species.
i'm hoping to start some from seed.
I've got the flasks and the media sitting next to the autoclave just waiting for seed.
I ordered some C. amethystoglossa from the OrchidSeedBank Project but it sounds like it could take months to arrive.
Also ordered the following seeds
Cattleya intermedia v. aquinii
Cattleya quadricolor x self
Laelia crispata x self
Laelia crispilabia
Laelia tenebrosa 'Coast Ovelins' AM/AOS x self
Laelia tenebrosa x self
Laelia tenebrosum
What can I say but I've obviously lost my mind

Ah Mauro...this is a beautiful species...seeing your specimen here gives me a chance to see what I might get from mine when they grow up...I've got two seedlings growing now.
Thanks for sharing with us.

I truly admire your desire and passion to grow chids from seeds whether from your own plants or others... this is a real labor of love project and my hat's off to you and others who enjoy growing from seed. But a simple-minded question.... from sowing of seed to a seedling capable of growing in moss or bark, what is the time frame? I realize many factors influence time, like temperature, light, etc.
Oh, and Mauro thanks once again for another of your beauties!
