I think I've had mine for a long time... Here is the award description

Fourteen flowers on one sturdy upright inflorescence; sepals and petals saturated wine red; lip midlobe deep magenta, side lobes cream-colored proximally, magenta distally; column cream-colored, stippled magenta, anther cap creamy light green, magenta centrally; substance firm; texture waxy.

That sounds like my plant... So at least some of them are labeled right.

It sounds like Rob's plant may be the real McCoy.

I imagine that there a lot of 'African Beauty' plants out there that are labeled correctly. Lc Loog Tone was quite variable and there are a lot of different clones available. 'Yellow', 'Red', 'SD', 'Autumn Tints, 'Waxy', 'Golden Apple' just to name a few. It certainly seems that your plant is labeled correctly. You can't imagine my disappointment when my so called 'African Beauty' flowered with yellow petals&sepals with red spotting and a red lip!
By the way Rob, I was there when Fred got his awarded and the picture doesn't do it justice.

Hi Louise,
Do you mean that you named Loog Tone ?
If so, I'd love to hear how you came up with that name and if it has a meaning behind it!
