Personally, Rob, I wouldn't send Sue any plant.... she will only dangle it over her pool and frighten the poor thing to death!!!!! It wouldn't be the first time she's done this... And anyway, Paul and I are coming out there to see what's what! Paul told me about his trip to your place and what all I'd missed by not going with him last week!!!! So forget Susie Q... I already contacted O-chid Services and they should be making a visit as soon as things cool off down there!

Ron, when you say "solid chocolate red", I assume you mean the lip and the petals and sepals are spotted???

Lip isn't spotted. Flower is sort of a vini-color paph color, maybe a bit more 'chocolatey' (sounds delicious). Lip a different shade, a bit lighter?

This is so cool I just had to post!
As I was watering today, I noticed nice new roots popping out of the pot I planted Rob's division in!
It's only been here a few weeks...I guess it likes Florida too
Thanks again Rob

I some how have a feeling that there are a lot of LC Loog Tune 'African Beauty' HCC/AOS out there that are mislabeled! I have one labeled as such and it is yellow with red spots. Fred Clarke of Sunset Valley Orchids received an AOS award for this plant. Here is the picture url;

It sounds like Rob's plant may be the real McCoy.
