It is a famous blue cattleya.
As I know, the cross can produce more than ten flowers on the spike. My plant is not well grown and there are only five blooms on the spike.
It is an easy plant to grow and with good care, it can bloom again in winter while the autumn new growth matures.

Good question I have a goldenzell 'Lemon Chiffon' a mac holmes 'newberry' and a Mary ellen Carter 'Dixie hummingbird' I also would likre to know more about their growth patterns as opposed to the general culture for catts. all three are producing roots at the moment but the Mac holmes 'Newberry' is also growing a new pb and is only producing secondary roots from existing roots at the moment.I assume it will not produce any new primary roots untill the new pb is finished. The Goldenzell has a pb maturing and has three new primary roots on it.The Mary ellen Carter 'Dixie Hummingbird is very small and has a new primary root coming off a maturing pb and also looks as if it may have a new eye that is going to continue growth this year still.

I will have to make a notebook to record how they grow for future reference as this is my very first attempt with catts.Anyone here have any of these three and some info on them
