Quite pathetic really. Space is nonexistent as it is and what do I do? Buy some additional orchids (and actually there's still one I wish I had picked up). *sigh* Couple folks I know of were reducing their collections as they either plan on moving or can't afford to heat their greenhouse. So went not really expecting to find much that I wanted as soooooo many folks are still on the paph/phrag kick (most of which just doesn't tug at my heartstrings and I kill them all anyway) or otherwise grow plants way too big for me.
Of those I picked up, these were in bloom:
Coilostylis (formerly Epidendrum) oerstedii -- though I suspect it is misidentified -- the lip is just not right. Looks more like Coilostylis ciliaris. Quite fragrant in the evening.
Pot. Beaufort gold 'Susan Fender'
Slc. Crystelle Smith 'BK Orchids' -- I've been looking for a nice TRUE pink for a while (mostof the 'pinks' are more lavender)
Almost didn't pick this one up as it is rather similar to my Pot Hoku Gem 'Superspots', but I liked the clear, bright lemon yellow petals. Overall very nice flower form, IMO
WOW they are all gorgeous !!!! However I absolubtly love the Slc. Crystelle Smith 'BK Orchids'. The color and the lips contrast is amazing. Congratulations on the blooms !!!! I mean the purchases

Cheer up, Paul. You are not pathetic-- just doing your civic duty to rescue orchids about to lose their home.
They are gorgeous!
I really love the Pot. Beaufort gold 'Susan Fender'. I have a weakness for those art shades.
I have a Slc. Crystelle Smith seedling but not that beautiful rich pink clone.
