Gorgeous, Raphael! I really love this little Encyclia too. I've been waiting (impatiently) for mine to spike.

That is a very nice plant and flowers. What do you have yours planted in?

It's so dainty and darling! I didn't realize how small this species is. What temperatures do you have it in? I read that it is a hot to warm growing species. I have one room where the AC doesn't reach so it gets up to 80 degrees F in the summer during heat waves, but usually it's under 75.

Check out Olympic Orchids. They have bractescens seedlings in 2 inch pots for $6.

Olympic Orchids - the Orchid Finders ~

And if you do happen to order from them, and are a new customer, I'd appreciate it if you say that I referred you to them. Then I'll get free shipping or a free orchid! I already have an order from them on the way, but there's always room for one (or 5) more.

I've heard good things about them, and I've emailed the owner a few times and she really seems to know her stuff and runs a good business. Please note, I'm not simply telling you this to get the free plant, but I wouldn't mind getting one!

Thanks Ross! It's potted in small bark and hydroton.

Hi Evan! I grow most of the Encyclia species and I can say that this is definitely one of the warmer growers. I grow it hot in the summer and very cool and dry in the winter. Always very high light, and even direct sun. Perfect for a windowsill grower as long as you remember to pot it in a very free draining mix and don't over water when dormant.
