Default L. purpurata var. carnea

Came home after a tiring and stressful day to this - I suppose it's actually C. purpurata now?
First bloom for this plant, and yes, it's the proverbial 'late bloomer'

Well worth the wait! It's a real beauty.
I have one with 3 new growths, but it doesn't appear to have any intentions of flowering. It just puts out more big leaves. Your success give ms hope!

Thanks you guys - yes definitely worth the wait.
Bingo this sat for a couple of months with sheaths but no buds until I moved it out to the front of the house which receives morning sun (previously it was in back)- then rather quickly the buds started to develop - so maybe try moving yours ? find it's 'happy place ' lol
