Default Brassavola David Sander

I'm jumping with joy. I just noticed my name sake plant after 2 years has finally graced me with a bud. I probably should have waited till it opened but I had to tell someone.

I'm so jealous! I bought one from bill_asia off of ebay over 2 years ago. Needless to say it didn't make it. Then I bought a mounted one off of ebay, from a different seller. Now I wish it wasn't mounted. I can't seem to keep up with watering it. The first two new growths turned funky and rotted....finally it's third new growth since I have had it, about a year, is growing strong, but not bloom. Not sure what type of wood was used for the mount, but it has white snow mold on the inside. I would like to remove it and pot it like yours, but I know it would devastate the root system and I would loose it. Guess I'll just be happy with my new growths and your pictures when yours blooms! Congrats!

This plant came from bill_asia about 2 years ago or more. It grows very slow and I never expected it to bloom. I did how ever step up the watering about 6 months ago, because it is in aliflor and tends to dry out quick. I have 2 vanda's from the same seller. The pine river pink has small flowers and doesn't seem to do well and I have a blue one that is spectacular. Its hit or miss with his plants.

Hmmm....if I had more space for pots...I'd sell my mounted one and get a potted one...not sure if I would buy from bill_asia ever again though...lol.

I think he sell's under a different name now! Oak Hill has a 3 1/2 in pot blooming size for 20.00 plus 13.00 to ship.

I've got one of these. I rescued it from my son in December, repotted and that stupid thing is growing like a weed. No blooms in sight, but it's turning into a monster......a long lanky monster! Can't wait to see your bloom Dave.
