I could be so very wrong here with all the changes latley, they are getting very hard to keep up with, anyhow I think that this cross is now know as RSC. or Rhycholaeliocattleya.

For now at least, it is a Pot. Stay tuned, though, things WILL change.

Shadytrake,
If you have a cross of these 2 give me the names of them and I can then check the RHS and let you know for sure, with the info that you have supplied at the moment, Rsc. is the best that anyone can give.

Hard to say with just that info. What's the specific cross? It depends on whether the B in Blc is truly a Brassavola or Rhyncholaelia. Some Blc's really use only Brassavola, some only used Rhyncolaelia, some might even use both.

B + C + L + S = Potinara (Pot)
Rl + C + L + S = Ankersmitara (Akr)

if the B is Brassavola, then it's Blc x Pot = Pot (same parent genera)

If the B in Blc really was Rhyncolaelia, then Rl x L x C = Rhycatlaelia (Ryc.)
That would change the genus (new parent genera). Ryc + Pot = Wrigleyara (Rl + B + C + L + S)

And this is assuming one of the Cats used wasn't' really Guarianthe.

The last issue of Orchids magazine they clarified that:
Rhyncholaelia + Cattleya = Rhyncholaeliocattleya.
Rhyncholaelia + Laelia + Cattleya = Rhyncatlaelia.

Here's the link to the RHS site. Middle of the page has two links. One is list of genera with components, and the other is abbreviations. http://www.rhs.org.uk/seedlist/registration_orchids.asp

Thwaitesara (Thw.) or its synonym Potinara (Pot.)

These are hybrids containing Brassavola (Rhyncholaelia), Cattleya, Laelia and Sophronitis

But don't change your tags yet!
