Yes, just as in Blc, which "B" is used can change things from Pot to Thw. Pot x Thw = Wrg.

Good Work Royal.
Yup. It sure does depend on which species went into the family trees. And all this research for just one hybrid.
I know many of the classification changes are necessary. But imagine one of the "splitters" or "changers" going to Egypt, pointing to the base of one of the Great Pyramids and saying: "Uh, you're gonna have to take out those three rocks in the middle and put in those three from that other pyramid."

Potinara and Thwaitesara are synonymous. The ending -ara indicates an intergeneric hybrid. Intergeneric hybrids are those with three or more genera in the background.
Before the current name changes confused us all, Potinara was an intergeneric hybrid that contains B - Brassavola, C - Cattleya, L - Laelia, S - Sophronitis.
The intergeneric hybrid Wrigleyara (Wrg.) has five genera in the background - all of the above plus the Ryncholaelia (probably digbyana) that was separated from Brassavola years ago. I can not find (at RHS) any registrations for Wrigleyara

Although this cross may have been made and has flowered, it is not yet registered at RHS. The name in single quotes is a clonal epithet, not a grex (hybrid) name.
There is a grex called Lc. Gold Digger (aka Guarisophleya Gold Digger). It is a cross of Lc. Red Gold x C. War Paint, registered in 1974.
Pandora's Box has been opened. Watch out!

If you are to take it to AOS judging when it blooms and the judges consider it worthy of recognition, you would get a 'provisional' award. The hybridizer would need to register the cross with a new grex name or you'd need the hybridizer's permission to register with a grex name of his (or your) choosing and pay the RHS registration fee. The clonal epithet is part of the plant's name so it would stick.
To calibrate whether this cross is better than its parents, look up the awards to the parents. Pot. Free Spirit has several. How does your plant compare?
If you've never been to an AOS judging session, go to one. And if you admire your plant, BRING IT WITH YOU. If it's not seen by the judges, it won't get awarded. If you don't come home with an award, don't be too disappointed. The next flowering may be better.
Good luck!
