Default Cattleya jenmanii var. semi-alba

Blooming out now for the first time. The sepals are weak this first time I suspect due to the intense cold waves we're experiencing here.

Darn! And here I thought you'd fall for this and I'd have two lovely chids of yours.... and wouldn't have to contend with that nasty dragon you have watching over your botanical garden!

I love the colours of the lip. I know what you mean about the sepals, but overall the flower is just wonderful

I honestly can't say, Jan. I bought this plant as a small piece a long time ago (7 or 8 years) and don't remember having asked for its ancestry at the time. I also grow three or four almost adult selfings of s.alba 'Mantellini' and it seems to me that this plant is a little shorter and more robust than Mantellini.

Wow! This may be one of the best C. jenmanii var. semi-alba I've ever seen. As a matter of fact, semi-alba of this species is quite rare here in Taiwan.
