This bright colored beauty is a first bloom seedling growing in a 4" pot. It was one of those little Carter and Holmes 'dug-ups" that I have grown for two or three years.

I absolutely love that cattleya. So much that one of my credit card's cover is a close up picture of the lip of mine.

It is a standard size cat and is a very compact grower, meaning the rhizomes are very short and do not try to creep out of the pot. My plant bloomed on a 14" growth and it can easily make two new pseudobulbs per year.

I have been told that it is capable of blooming twice per year.

I will take a picture of the plant later.
