Default Epi. vitellinum Cross

This is a cross between a cool growing Epi. vitellinum and a warm growing B. cordata. The tangerine orange flowers are very attractive. The long lasting flowers have a natural spread of 3 inches horizontally. The plant is a profuse bloomer with a branching spike on each growth. The tallest spike is 23 inches tall (measured from the top of the pot) and has 19 flowers and 1 bud.

Oh, that is a beauty. Would love a division of that! I'm by no means a taxonomist, but I always thought it was 'vitellina'.

Thanks Raphael for bringing this posting back to the front. This is indeed a very beautiful flowering plant. The orange color and tall inflorescences really catch your eye. I checked on OrchidWiz (the Orchid Encyclopedia) and it shows that Encylia vitellina and Epidendendrum vitellinum are synonymous. So I guess you can use either one.
