Default Cattleya jenmanii var. caerulea

This is a species that becomes little by little more cultivated here in Brazil, but good clones are still rare. This is the result of selfing a caerulea variety known as 'Pedra Azul'. The lip and its veins is very beautiful, but the general form of the segments just regular. I bought a seedling of a superior formed flower of this variety at Orquidario Amazonas, but the plant is small still.

Steve, until now a few color varieties are known: alba, semi-alba, caerulea, flamea (or pincelada). I've heard of a concolor variety, but never saw it.

Beautiful.
Compared with other species cattleya, C. jenmanii is seldom grown here in Taiwan.

Gena, you will love the flowers, especially their sweet perfume (very different from C. labiata fragrance!)
