Default C loddigesii Martineli x Marisa

This one came from seedling; very weak plant, and probably virotic (it is aparted from the others)

Yours is a very nice loddigesii, Frederico! I acquired a few plants of this cross, but none of them came out with spots or stripes as I expected. One of them is loddigesii '#135' (posted in another thread) with good form, but no stripes.

Hi friends!

Thank you for looking; Mauro, I have to confess that I don't remember exactly the appearance of flowers in earlier bloomings (they were few - this plant is particularly difficult), but thought that this "marbled" could be viruses! I'll try to repot in sphagnum next spring, to see what happens!

Interesting, Frederico. I wouldn't have though of virus at first, because C. loddigesii 'Martinelli' is striped/spotted as you know, and this is one of the reasons I tried this cross. But allied to a difficult plant, those flares may indicate virus infection. If future blooms show variation in the flare pattern then that would be one more indication of virus infection.
