Suzie, please forgive my poor English, but I am not much sure if I undertand well the meaning of funky in this context... You mean bad formed flowers? If this is the case, you bet I have bad ones. JUst like everybody else!!

Mauro, I gave up on them both. Now I'll just stick with mossiae and gaskelliana--two species that I could probably beat with a stick, toss out into the yard and still see some blooms. :-) Actually, all joking aside, I do very well with guttata, leopoldii and amethystoglossa. So I'm not completely helpless when it comes to successfully growing some of the Brazilian cattleya species. Some day in the distant future I might try walkeriana again, but never nobilior! I'll just enjoy the pictures of your beautiful flowers and be satisfied with that.
