It will be awhile until it is big enough to bloom if in a 1.5 pot . It is a reliable bloomer and not fussy I did find it likes not quite as much sun as some of the others . Gin

Thanks Gin
It does have new shoots, so I'll hope for a fall set of a bloom, maybe! Right now, I need to be building an ark as I think we're going to float away. I moved the little ones to lights as it is so dark out, and doesn't seem to be getting lighter even though its 9;30 AM. Need higher lights if this keeps up for my others. I think rain is going to continue through tomorrow- started yesterday. A bit nutty here but the blooming ones brighten the day!

Beautiful display.
My regular aurantiaca's are too small to bloom just yet, but I do have a yellow and a spotted orange, though neither of them seem to have as large of blooms as the plain orange!

Maybe Fall 2013....You're looking at at least two years from a pot that small. Cattleyas take 4-7 years to reach flowering size from seed.

I saw one that Gold Country was selling in a 2" pot that had spiked with 1 flower. There is hope you wont have to wait forever.

Thanks Gin and all that replied. I purchased it from Gold Country and he does specialize in miniatures. I'll just hope its not going to take until 2013. I did end up turning on the lights today as there is little hope of seeing sun before Wed here in soggy DE so all the mini's hit the lights today. Sooner or later the sun will come out. Between snow and rain its not been a sunny winter, and I've been rotating Cat's and Phal's in and out of lights, depending on the day. So far its worked as most have just finished blooming. Today I repotted mtdm Ruffles "scent of a woman" to a hydroponic pot. We'll see how that goes but at least it doesn't need too much sun for a couple of days! <G>

Happy blooming
Karen
