My first AOS award. Female
Default clonal name

I named it after my Mother, who introduced me to gardening and plants at an early age. 'Ona M'
She is 89 and was so excited when I told her about the name. I am in the process of printing a large photo and framing it for her living room wall. Thanks for all the feedback. Betty

That is a beautiful bloom and should make a gorgeous picture for her. Congratulations on your award, and I think it is so special that you named it for you mother. I'm sure it will mean a lot to her.

Also if you recall, would you mind disclosing where you got this baby hehe

I bought the plant on ebay. it is from a company called Aranda Orquideas.com. ARANDA ORQUDEAS It is Laelie purpurata (flannea Kassel 212 x rubra sanduinea) Ona M. The plant is quite large, the height of the leaves is a good 20 inches or more(haven't measured it). Right now it is resting after the flowering but I already have two new pseudobulbs growing. thanks for the interest. Betty
