Default Caulavola Colmanii

Caulavola Colmanii = Brassavola nodosa x Caularthron bicornutum

Most people know the B. nodosa pretty well, I posted the Caularthron (formerly Diacrum) parent here last month. This cross was originally made be Sir Jeremiah Colman at the turn of the century. I got it from Hausermann's about 6 years ago. I posted the first bloom pics last year, but this time around is bigger and has more blooms per spike (5 this year, only 3 last year).

The flower shape and spots are really cool. Great growing!

What a sweet flower you have there, Royal! It is intersting to see how often Caularthron forms beautiful hybrids!

Thanks guys. The substance is not that great, but I like the spotting too. I think I'll hold on to this one.

It looks like you got the best of both parents on this one!
