In a bit of a bone-headed move, I stuck my little Bras in a terrarium with some thriving mini bulbos. The terrarium has almost no air circulation, but super high humidity - which seems to be the perfect environment for the mini bulbos. Not so much for the Bras.

One of the sheath thingies that cover the base of the leaves turned whitish - I pulled the Bras out of the terrarium this morning to examine the change and - BAM! - the leaf with the whitish sheath fell off! Upon closer examination, I learned that the base of the leaf got all gross and rotted towards. I was a bit surprised as the Bras has only been in the terrarium for a few days... but I guess it was enough to rot out one of the leaves.

I'm not too worried, because the little guy is throwing out two new leaves and the rest of the existing leaves seem to be okay. I treated with some physan and removed the Bras from the terrarium, hanging it instead near some grow lights. I'm not going to water again until it dries out a bit.

Ventalation and dryer conditions for a while was my plan of action. Any suggestions on how to prevent further damage?

Thanks.

- Jason
