Cattleya leopoldii var. purpurea
This one bloomed last summer also, but I didn't get any pictures before of it before the Japanese Beetles found it on the front porch. This year it's spending a little more time in the sunroom.
Very fragrant flowers, and the plant's easy to grow.

Wow! She's darling with all those spots! I'm glad the beetles didn't get her time! Fragrant?

This one came from Santa Barbara Orchid Estate a number of years ago. I just checked and it's still listed on their website (although the blooms in their pictures look slightly different than my plant's flowers), so if you're interested in getting one, give them a call. And since the plants are blooming size, you might even get one that's in bloom.

Wow! What's not to like about this one? Spots, waxy texture, gorgeous color and fabulous shape. Great growing Steve!
