Very nice hybrid.
Judging from the 5 to 5-1/2" flowers, it looks like your plant's fairly compact to have so many flowers ... probably only 14-15" tall without the flowers.
No, can't really tell all of that from the little photos, but looks like the C lawrenceana really brought down the height of jenmanii and broadened out the flower spikes of the hybrid. The hybrid must be a lot more vigorous grower than either parent.
How old is it and how on earth did you grow it so big?
You've done a fantastic job!
I bought 5 years ago as adult plant.
The most incredible is that the plant lost almost all of the roots last year, i tought i would loose her...
The plant is not SO BIG, i have others biggers than that!
It is a shame I don't have pics, but flowers like the one you put here that actually are in between both parental species, put more "mistery" on the true identity of the wild colected Cattleya x gransabanensis on culture... The later are like lets say like "small dark trianaes" without any odor.
There is a consensus of calling it a natural hybrid, but really, no one is sure about their true identity...
The one you have is an obvious hybrid between jenmani and lawrenceana, can I ask if is wild collected or from cultivation?
