Wooooow, she is beautiful! These flowers are amazing. Today I searched online how to grow it as I was about to order it from a nursery in NL but now I see your plant... I didn't realize they get this big!
It's still a wanna have, especially after having seen yours, but too big for in my collection!
Beautifully grown and awesome flowers on yours. And that pot! Aaaaw!

I dunno how old it is! I got this about 5 years ago (?) and it was probably a 3-4 bulb division. Since then it has put out 2-6 new growths each year and is gaining momentum as it gets larger.

Steve,
I would LOVE to do this one day, but since I'm renting right now its not gonna happen for a while. When I am in a permanent home (hopefully in the next few years!) I will have orchids draping every inch of my property and a division from this plant will be at the top of the list!

Nicole,
If you regularly divide your plants, they won't get that big. I just want mine to grow to monstrous proportions!! I believe that purpuratas also have 2 different forms. One (the upland form) is much shorter and the other (the lowland form) is tall like mine. If you are able to find out what the parentage of a particular plant is, then you can guess its future size.

Steve, that really is a killer plant. I like the photo that show its scale. That, and you look pretty pumped. I like taking photos with my orchids too.
Is this a certain cultivar or the offspring of one?

lol Thats the first pic I've taken with my 'chids.....but it won't be the last! As for the cultivar, its 'M2983 "10"' x sib 'Cindarosa.' Its a really weird name, but thats what it is!!
