Pot. San Damiano 'Watermelon Gold'
If you like reddish orange flowers, you should like this one. This is the first bloom for this plant. The flowers are mid sized (5 inches natural spread horizontally). The petals are reddish orange overlaid with a violet hue centrally. The sepals are lighter reddish orange. The lip is dark magenta with golden yellow veins in the throat. The flower substance is very firm. I expect that the next bloom will have larger flowers.

This is a very interesting cross, there are 2 of them !!!!
The first one is,
Rsc. Ports of Paradise x Rsc. Erin Kobayashi,
The second one is,
Rsc. Pastushin's Gold x Rsc Fuchsia Fantasy,
Both registered by J. L. Walker in 1995.
I would say that yours is of the 2nd. crossing by the great colours in yours, well done!
