Default Encyclia Orchid Jungle

Here is the first blooms from my E. Orchid Jungle that I bought last summer. It took me a little while to appreciate them fully...but the longer I looked at them, the more I decided that this plant needs to stay in my collection.

I hope that you enjoy them as much as I do!

Very nice. I can see why you've decided to keep it in your collection.

Hi Joann,
It is actually a chartruese base with chocolate brown, apically on the sepals and petals. The lip has an orange band along the frilled edge. I can see how you'd think burgundy with the way the colors come together though. I'm glad that you like it!

I'm glad that you decided to keep this one, it's just too beautiful to give away! (unless you were giving it to me. )

Nice pictures and a beautiful Enc. I have "Nursery Rhyme" in bloom now with two spikes. Guess I should take a pic. to share, but I am out of town at present. Thanks for sharing, Dave.

Hey Don...thanks! If it's still blooming when you get home, I'd love to see the pic.

Very nice David. I have one of these in my collection also. Mine is in spike, but no flowers just yet. If I remember correctly last year the flowers seemed to hang on forever!
Great job blooming yours!

Hi Dave - This one is for you. I just returned home and fortunately the Enc. "Nursery Rhyme" is still in bloom. One of my favorites. Enjoy!
