The Alien growin on my Laelia kautskyana.....what is it?

hey all

I purchased this Laelia kautskyana @ the Redlands a couple of weekends ago. I did not notice this when I purchased it, and in the frenzy of repotting the billion rupicolous laelias that I pre-ordered, I did not notice anything weird.

This looks like a keiki, but I don't think that's what it is. I noticed it while taking care of my plants this week. It was just staring at me (blink, blink), calling my name, "Mariaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.....loookie here....I'm strange....woohoooo". (LOLOLOL).

I have no idea what it is. Your input is very much appreciated.

Yep I agree, it's a keiki, looks like the roots are a bit dry on it.
