This Dendrobium Noid has captivating blooms. In shady locations or under artificial light her blooms display a vibrant contrast of bright green petals and a two tone purple tongue. In dappled sunlight her petals appear to glow and the veining on her tongue becomes quite pronounced.

That's a really nice plant June. Well grown too! Love the colors. I have a similar one though not exactly the same. The red/purple of the lip bleeds into the petals from the center out.

Thanks, Terri. She's being grown outdoors on my screened-in back porch and she did...I repeat did...have two bloom spikes. Unfortunately one got broken off in infancy when the plant was blown from her perch and suffered a 4' fall during a sudden and unseasonal wind storm. Thank goodness this spike survived. I have several other Dends. but all the others are Phal. types and begin spiking towards the end of summer. Another OB member suggested this one is an antelope type.

With that slight twist to the petals it could certainly have some antelope in it's background. Mine does too. It's spiking for the second time from the same cane. Should have flowers open in a couple of weeks.
