That is a very nice flower, mine has no purple in it it has pink. But only at the edges. At a show last week i saw they were selling an Apple blossom that hasd small plain yellow flowers with no scent. I did not know that there could be so much difference in the same plant.

There are different cultivars of Appleblossoms. I hope cultivar is the right word. For example I have Pippin and Fantastic. I have seen Pippin bloom and it is pink tinged and smells lovely. Waiting still for Fantastic to decide it is large enough to flower. Carol PS Neither has as much lavendar as yours does.

I have a division of Carol's 'Pippin' blooming now. It's mostly creamy with a touch of yellow, and to my nose the fragrance is not overwhelming. It's nice but not a fill the room type of scent. I'll take a pic after dinner and post it here for comparison.

Yours has outstanding color! I've never seen one quite that intense. Does it have a cultivar name?

Yes, it says C. Iwana Apple Blossum Pink from Kerry's Nursery in Homestead, Fl. I'm curious to know what they mixed in there to call it pink.
