Default Laelia purpurata var. russeliana 'Oculata' x Laelia purpurata var. schroederae

I received this plant about 2 years ago, and it is blooming now for the first time...

the color of the lips is not as delicate as that of the parent plants, but I like much better this way

as for the variety of the parent plants, here some links to Mauro Rosim's Flickr gallery

Fantastic Ramon!! If this is just a first bloom seedling, it's going to be some plant when it finally reaches full maturity!

Thanks to all...

this is indeed a first time bloom seedling, which was very stressed by the time I received it. It took a time to recover and look better. As I said, I am very happy with the first bloom, and am looking forward to seing how it improves within the next years

P.S.- I think the former owner could not take care of his collection anymore, and his son/daughter asked a nursery to sell the plants. Most of them were extremelly dehydrated and/or had not been repotted for a long time. I bought 4 different plants from this collection (a whole sale package), but this Laelia is the only one which survived. The yall went through Sphag&Bag, rooting hormones and so on... but...
