It's beautiful Susanne. Have you sniffed it yet? Most Encyclias are nicely scented.

It does have a nice scent...very faint

This one does something I haven't noticed my other Encyclias doing...it folded itself up at the end of the day yesterday and reopened this morning! It was a nice surprise

I really like this one Sue. Being one of the first in your collection, this little guy is quite the pioneer! What's its parentage? It looks very similar to bractescens.

Encyclia Hereford Jewel
(Encyclia cordigera x Encyclia bractescens)

Being a pioneer in my collection means they've been here since March '05. I think this may have been part of my first-ever EOoM orders
