Slc Dianne Diehm
Flowers around this time for me each year. The dorsal has come out at an angle and makes the whole flower look out of balance. Hopefully the next growth will flower a little better.

I really like the shape of the flower.
The sepal bends forward because it was designed for survival not for judging.

The sepal also bends to the side dramatically when the flower is viewed head on. I took the photo at an angle so it wasn't obvious. Not sure why it's done it this time.
And why shouldn't the flower display itself for judging......???? lol

I really like the color and the fullness of the flower. Is it a miniature like most Slc's?

I wouldn't call in miniature, probably bigger than those. More what you would call a compact or mid sized type.

I like to grow miniature cattleyas but it seems that any with a lot of Sophronitis coccinea in them just don't take the heat well that we experience here during the summer. I have lost so many that I reasearch the parentage now before I buy.
