I have a few Cattleya, Laelia and hybrids including an Iwanagara Appleblossom. I have watered all of these types basically the same throughout the winter, however my Iwanagara pseudobulbs seem to be more desiccated than the others. Do they require more water than typically of Cattleyas?

the first thing I suspect when my pseudobulbs become desiccated is roots, they have to have good roots to take up the water, when was last repot,

When I repotted it last summer, the roots were OK. I can see healthy roots through the top of the potting mix. The pseudobulbs are more 'wrinkled' than dessicated. As Iwanagara are such a diversified hybrid, I didn't know if they may require more watering than other Cattleya 'types'.
