This tall, reed-stemmed Brazilian Epidendrum likes a lot of light. It just finished bearing seed of a cross I made with this and Bl. Richard Mueller. Most of the babies look like they are going to be tall, like their mama! The Richard Mueller genes should throw some spots into that flower, can't wait to see them. I am selling compots of this cross in the classifieds....for anyone interested.
It is a great species and for some reason it is not widely grown, even in Florida. It has had a name change, however, and s correctly E. macrocarpum (meaning big fruit).
