Not a flower spike but a new growth. The spikes grow along the middle of the folds of each new growth. The bigger this gets, the more blooms so enjoy each new growth as well!

If you are learning to play the cello, then I would consider you a cellist. Don't ever give up that dream! The cello can be your best friend and biggest frustration all at once, but to me, there is nothing more wonderful than making music! (AND growing orchids, of course!) :-D What pieces are you working on right now??

Hi Ania! Yes, Yo-Yo is great! I have played for nearly 20 years, and I love it more than anything. The 3rd Suite is beautiful- what a wonderful prelude! I would love to see Poland someday!

Oh my.... 20 years?! I started playing 6 months ago! That's why I don't think I am a cellist yet
3rd Suite.... yep, beautiful- especially when my friend who is also my cello teacher plays it :P

Dorothy, Elliot... are you from Poland?! So why are we talking in English?
