Broad petals - Cattleya bicolor var. minasgeraisensis - Orchid Board

Here's a fine example of this variety with broad petals. Unfortunately the second bud dropped after being severely attacked by a slug, which is now resting in peace in the slug heaven

That is stunning, I love the colours together, how is it nature no colours clash! any colours of flowers together seems to work. thank you for the great photo.

Interesting you saying that, Carrie, because the other day I was looking at my orchids in bloom and thinking the same thing!!

Man, I was really mad at that slug because this week end our society's orchid show is taking place in comemoration of the 455th aniversary of our city and I was counting on those flowers... No way, I had to kill it!!
