Nice one! I bet your house smells nice at night with that one. I never had any luck with nodosa....I'm envious!

Is it difficult to grow? I've always thought about this one and never taken the plunge.

Smile Potting material?

I have three small ones that have never bloomed and now I know why They are much smaller than that.

What is the potting material?

Well bloomed Hugh, I had my nodosa potted in fir bark for a couple of years but it never did well then I mounted it on treefern and it grew vigorously now it has been blooming since October.

I think they are pretty easy to grow. They need a fair amount of light though. Other than that, they are adaptable as far as what you put them in (pots, baskets, mounts), and grow pretty much like any other cattleya thing. If you can grow mini-catts, you can grow nodosa.
