What distinguishing feature makes this distinct species?

The presence of side lobes involving the column is the distinctive trait, Royal. For the rest it is similar to C. bicolor (which does not have those side lobes).

It is planted in tree fern fiber, SP. But soon I will have to move it to something else because tree fern products are now prohibited.

So Mauro my plant could be caught between tenuis and bicolor with the side lobes mine has. also is the tree fern ban for Brazil only .

Hard to say, Virgil! The flower is close to bicolor, but what the other parent is is difficult to say!
