Default Cattleya schroderae in bloom

This is the first time that this Colombian native has bloomed for me (got it a few years ago as a seedling). It only produced one flower, but I'm happy with it. Nicely compact growth habit for a labiate cattleya (though maybe it's still young and will eventually turn into a beast). The flower is just over 4 inches wide and highly perfumed.

Nice one, Steve!

What light level are you successfully giving yours? I have a BS C. schroderae which isn't blooming!
