Default putting L. anceps and its cold-tolerant friends outside

i am in baltimore, MD: Zone 6b/7a.

my cold-tolerant laelias and catts have been under a nice warm light all winter; the lows outside will be down to approximately 40 or more where I live.

Can I just put them outside now or will it be too much of a shock??

I am too lazy to take them out each morning and back in at night.

It doesn't get cold where I'm at but I hear about people freaking out when temp gets into the 50's so I would think you need to keep them inside for now

Hey NYC is the same zone. LOL.
Uhmm, I would say wait until night temps are in the low 50's at least. Min mid 40's. But you will have to acclimate it slowly to these temps. Otherwise the plant will die.

I agree with Tindo about acclimating it slowly. I have a anceps that is outside all year long in full sun, the temp range is from the low 30's to a high in the 90's.
