Cattleya walkeriana #2
When this opened I went Im super stoked with this one. Its a first bloom that is a 'Estrala da Colina' x walkeriana and its color and shape seem pretty nice, especially for a first bloom! Enjoy!
P.S. These pictures are titled "Catt" and are next to another walkeriana I took pics of with the date next to its name. The one in this post is "Catt" and pics 1 & 2 are the best representation of the actual color I could come up with.

Very nice Steve. You should have displayed this plant at the Kunia Orchid Show. It might have won a trophy. How large are the flowers?

Very nice. Gorgeous color. I am glad #1 and 2 are the best representations, cuase those really are the better colors.

Shoot, I didnt even think about that! The flowers are about 3.5" across (10cm-ish) and about 4" tall. Thanks for the vote of confidence! I guess I can show it next year.

WOW! Stunning CW! Congrats, Steve! CW "Estrela da Colina" ("Star of the Hill") is a very known Brazilian plant, but the shape is not as good as your CW (take a look in C. Walkeriana Estrela da Colina - Fotolog)! Do you know the clonal name of the polen-parent?

Fred,
Unfortunately I dont know the other clonal name. The lable only says EDC x walkeriana, though this plant is from H&R Nurseries which tends to only use really high quality parents for their breeding program. Thanks for the pic of EDC! I always wondered what it translated to in English!

The color and form on this are exceptional. Pics like these make me miss growing Catts, can't wait again to be able to.
Glad you posted these, they perked me up!

Beautiful form, great culture.
I wish I lived close to H&R.
