This is also a plant I have long wished. I bought it last year from a nursery that assured me that the flower opens. It is a really wide spread species. We also have it here in my region, plenty of them actually. They grow everywhere like a weed... but they are all cleistogamic forming as many pods as the number of buds on the flower stem, right before the flowers should open (which explains the numerous population of this plant!).
