The plant belongs to a friend of mine. The flower is quite large, about 8" wide. It is an early cross and used to be quite commonly grown.

The loss of Stewarts Orchids is a major reason that we don't see such plants these days. Many of the large orchid houses are not here any more......a major loss.

I guess we all know how I feel about the older or classic catts. I love them and this is one is no exception. She's beautiful!

This is a beautiful hybrid, Pheli. For some reason it is not easily found here in Brazil.

Beautiful, pheli. I have one of her daughters, Blc. Pamela Finney. Both are really great Catts.

Thanks for the kind words.
Since there are so many new hybrids created every year, this old one becomes uncommon. As I know, most local nurseries and also some amateurs still own this cross because it is a good parent to create new hybrid. But for new starters, it is not easy to get this one here.
