Bc. Turandot
Nice old hybrid, this is a happy mix between the white Cattleya Bob Betts and Bc. Pastoral. My plant came from a recent remake and the light lavender, almost pinkish color is really beautiful.

Outstanding flower, it might be an old hybrid but it sure stands the test of time.
Oh and by the way I'm sure it's named after the Opera called Turandot! Remember the song Nessun Dorma? Well the flower really suits it.
Although the song I think is about a man dying............not sure on that one though.

Stunning flower and wonderful photo as always, I really do love that one and I also assumed it was named after the opera, as stunning as the music.

It's gorgeous!! Some of the old hybrids are really nice. I had no idea it was named after an opera. I'm ignorant when it comes to things like that!

Yes, Bolero and Carrie, it is named after the Opera Turandot. The hybrid was made by Rolf Altenburg here in Brazil. Rolf was the founder of Florália, a famous nursery still in the orchid business.
